A Conversation Between Strangers on Metastatic Breast Cancer
The first time I met Jacqueline, we connected on a level only stage 4 patients could.
I did not expect to meet a woman my age with the same diagnosis as me, and I wasn't sure I was prepared for it. But when I sat down with Jacqueline to discuss life with stage 4 breast cancer, I learned we shared many of the same experiences and fears, and our conversation reminded me that I am not alone. Jacqueline and I discussed our fear of the future, our optimism and commitment to the present, the reality of not having children and many other things. We even made each other laugh. It ended up being a positive experience and it opened my eyes to the good that comes when women with breast cancer talk to each other and help each other. Watch the video to learn more.
